Bicycling Trip is about to begin!

I want to thank all of you who have sent good wishes, prayers, and tailwind promises to me via emails. I appreciate all your kind wishes. This is it -- the last hours before leaving very early for the airport here in Fargo, ND. We'll be up by 4:15 AM. I'll be boarding the plane by 6:30 AM. So this is going to be short so we can get some sleep. Paul's plane leaves by 6:00 AM.
We had a wonderful family and friends gathering for the farewell to mother. It truly was a celebration of her life with so many happy memories and stories shared. It was a good trip here and as hard as it is to say good bye, I know that she would want each of us to go on with doing what we love to do. She will be with me in spirit, and so will my beloved dad. God is good, and we six children were so blessed to have had such loving parents.
Off now on my journey. I'll be very busy tomorrow and I hope I will have a few minutes to write some words late tomorrow. I hope too I can catch a nap on the flights. I'm pretty tired for all the activities of these past 3 days. I will again travel by bicycle across the USA looking for the BEST pieces of pie in all of the Northern states from coast to coast!
One of my relatives here for the funeral was talking to me and she asked "Why are you bicycling so far?" My simplest answer is, "Because I can!"
