Day 10 Boise, ID to Mountain Home, ID photos

Karen and Barry. Barry stopped at Wal-Mart on the way to the motel today and got himself a snazzy new red cap. Barry is riding good these days having made a trip to the ER the other day when he suffered heat exhaustion.
The Best Western Foothills motel has a great pool. This is showing just a part of it. The water falls over the rocks into the pool. Pictured are left to right: Ben, Tim, Catherine, Ken, Rob and Joyce. (I'm still terrible at remembering the names! Someone helped me identify everyone)
This old super sonic jet is along side the road in a park as we came through Mountain Home. This town is home to Mt Home Air Force Base. The base is about 10 miles out of town.
Liz applies high-test sun protection on her husband Keith. So important to keep our skin protected from the sun on these long days on the bikes. This was at the SAG/rest stop after doing 12 miles on I-84. We exited here and had snacks and then entered again on the interstate for another 18 miles. That was hard riding because you need to be very alert to watching for re-treaded tires debris on the shoulder. Today there were quite a few flat tires. About 10-12 people rasised their hands at route rap when Andy asked how many people had to stop to fix flats today.Posted by Picasa
