Day 14 Burley, ID to Idaho Falls, ID

9:30 in the morning and we were ready for PIE! We could not pass up the Frontier Pies restaurant & bakery about 8 miles from Idaho Falls. Pictured are L-R: Sara, Lois, Abe and Jim. On my search for the BEST piece of pie in the Northern states across the USA. Click photos to enlarge.
The Frontier Pies interior was unique. The booths shown to the right side of the photo were like covered wagons. Here is Sara, Jim, Abe, Stu, Ilka and Lois enjoying selections of apple, ruhbarb and sourcream blueberry pies. And we all thought they were a good sample on this journey.
We are going to report at Show & Tell tonight at the dinner table route rap session that we saw a BEAR! (we may see many more REAL ones tomorrow when we go over the mountain passes) Here are L-R: Lois, Stu, Abe and Jim
After arriving at the hotel, our rooms were not ready so we went down the street to some Bistro cafes. Zonker seemed like a good beer to try. We hope it will help to "zonk" out the rider for a good nights sleep before the hard 88 mile cycling day tomorrow to Jackson Hole, WY. We have been crossing the Snake River now for many days, and this beer was seemingly appropriate with the Snake River in it's name. Posted by Picasa
