Day 13 Burley, ID to Blackfoot, ID photos

The winners! Team "High Rollers" won first place in the scavenger hunt yesterday. They collected all the things on the list and did a very creative presentation. The team "Rails to Trails" came in second. I was on that team and Bill on our team did a great presentation for us. There were only two teams that decided to take on the challenge of collecting all the things. A good time was had by all with lots of laughs at dinner when the 'judging' took place.
A scene from the long and lonely stretch of road we were on for nearly 30 miles. The road just went on and on with all to see was sage brush and ranch land that were thousands of acres. Nancy stops to take a photo
Ah!Ha! I knew I'd soon see my first Wall Drug of South Dakota sign! We are many hundreds of miles from the world famous drug store in the city of Wall, SD -- but one will see the signs everywhere -- and as we get closer there will be many more of these signs and billboards. I can't wait --- they had SUPER good pie there!!!
I stopped at mile 90 to have a lunch here at Homers. It was a biker (of the other kind) bar and cafe. But the food was good and the locals were fun to talk to. They are always so amazed at what we are doing -- riding coast to coast on our bicycles! Posted by Picasa
